Sequoia’s Holiday Food Drive

Sequoia’s Holiday Food Drive

Monday, November 2 through
Wednesday, November 18th

This week, Sequoia kicks off the Spirit of Giving by
collecting non perishable food items to be shared
with members of the Dimond Community. Look
for collection bins by the school office and around the hallways.
Please donate a food item (or two, or three…) that will not
spoil quickly. Cans of food, boxed food, dried fruit, nuts, rice,
beans, cereal and peanut butter are examples of “non perishable”
food items.

Food will be delivered to Fruitvale Presbyterian Church (located
on the corner of MacArthur & Coolidge). Fruitvale Presbyterian
Church partners with the Community Outreach Pantry for Emergencies
(COPE) program and has two monthly food distribution
days each month. The upcoming distribution days are November
7 & 21, and December 5 & 19. Food will be distributed
between 11Am & 12Noon. To pick up emergency food
supplies, simply show up and sign up! Sequoia will be donating to
the Holiday Food Distribution that will take place on Saturday,
November 7.
