Letter from the Principal - Back to School Night
Dear Sequoia Community, Back-To-School Night will take place Tuesday evening, September 22nd. The schedule for the evening is as follows: • 6:00-6:45 Teachers in Kindergarten, First and Second Grades will discuss their instructional program in the classrooms. Please go directly to your child’s classroom. • 7:00-7:30 Everyone gathers in the auditorium to meet the staff and learn more about this school year • 7:45-8:15 Teachers in Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades will discuss their instructional programs in the classrooms. Room Parent Meeting This Tuesday, September 15th, 7:00PM, Library Are you at Sequoia for drop-off or pick-up time? Do you introduce yourself to the parents of kids in your class? Would you be willing to check in with your teacher in person or via email on a weekly basis to find out what they need help with? If you answered “Yes” to these questions, then you would be a GREAT Room Parent Lead! Please come to our Room Parent Lead meeting this Tuesday, September 15th at 7pm in the school library. There will be lot’s of information about this role, plenty of ideas on how to get you started and a Room Parent Lead packet to take with you. ----------------

SEQUOIA DADS CLUB MEETING - TUES. SEP. 3RD School is here and our first Dad's Club meeting is coming up this Thursday, Sept 3rd. This year we have changed things up and are meeting off-site at the Montclair Golf Course at 7pm. The Golf Course provides a more relaxed environment and serves a variety of malted and/or carbonated beverages for our enjoyment. Our draft agenda is: > 7:00 start meeting > 7:30 talk Dad's Club stuff for 15 min (2009-10 Calendar, Welcome Back Picnic Planning) > 9:00 end meeting. (one or more Dad's to attend the FOSS meeting the following Tuesday (Sept 8th) to provide an update)
