Parent Groups
Friends of Sequoia School (FOSS)
Friends of Sequoia School supports a vibrant and caring community “characterized by friendliness, inclusivity, and diversity, where every parent participates.” This group helps bring together all school groups through fundraising, events and communications. We think of our community as a tree with roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and seeds.
FOSS members work on teams with other committed volunteers:
- Communications: Newsletter, Calendar, Directory, Website, and our Yahoo! Group
- Events: Bake sales, Harvest Festival, Multicultural Potluck/Program, etc.
- Fundraising: Grants, donations, scrip and eScrip sales, fundraising events.
- Multicultural: increases community participation by celebrating diversity, opening conversation, and understanding cultural differences.
- Room Parents: help teachers, drive on field trips, etc.
- And much, much more.
